Southdown sheep are the most abundant animals on our old Estate property. They are a quite popular breed of English sheep known for being a bit smaller in stature. But don’t let that descriptor fool you, its namesake wine is known for being warmer and rounder, bigger bodied and showing darker fruit.
The 2021 is a beautiful rendition of the popular wine, with aromatic notes grape and strawberry jam, died soil, black licorice, and blueberry. The palate is brioche bread, darker berries, and super pleasant acidity. The finish is visible and tasty acid, sweet strawberry, and cherry cola.
