2021 Luci

The 2021 Luci was such a fun blend to create.  At the end of harvest, we ended up with over 20 unique Zinfandel lots.  We ended up using seven individual vineyards- all of them old vine, head trained, and perched in locations perfectly suited for premium Zinfandel.  The 14% Russian River Valley appellation included is unique to the Luci blend, but we just couldn’t pass up an opportunity to get fruit from one of the oldest and most important Zinfandel vineyards in all of California.  The kicker, 2021 was a superb growing season in Sonoma County, making blending truly a fun endeavor.

Aromatics of cherry pie, and strawberry licorice, and spice gum drop candies.  The palate is perfectly balanced, with weighty fruit checking soft acid and long grain tannin.  The finish is rich, dark fruit, cola, spice, and vanilla wafer.
