2018 Burning Man
Varietal: 94% Petite Sirah, 6% Zinfandel
Appellation: 100% Dry Creek Valley
Oak: 35% New (9 months), 75% new (5 months)
The nose builds with cherry cola, chocolate, and brooding spice all layered seamlessly, pushing the wine’s modest complexity. The palate is fairly bright, certainly for a Petite Sirah, with elegant blueberry pushing fruit and big, chewy tannins engulfing the tongue. The wine also hints at coffee grounds, rich sweet dark fruit, animated acidity, and dark chocolate to carry the finish.
